Foundation for Peace

Working with us

The Foundation has a small number of committed and enthusiastic people who make up our staff team. We are firm believers that enthusiasm and attitude count as much as experience and skill. In return we offer a fun and flexible working environment. We are an equal opportunities employer.

SESSIONAL TUTORS

The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace has places available for sessional tutors in its tutor bank. Applicants need to:

  • have experience of facilitating interactive, participatory and challenging training with young adults and young people.
  • have developed skills in group-work and workshop style facilitation
  • have a background in a related field, e.g. youth work / theatre / youth arts / mediation / conflict resolution / personal development training / education.
  • be committed to your own personal and professional development as a tutor/facilitator.
  • have self employed tax status.

Experience of classroom management and working in schools would be an advantage. The amount of work that we can offer will depend on what we have available. Some programmes are run over a six day period over one day per week. Some more or less intensively. In addition, we have one and two day workshops as well as bespoke schools and community based programmes.

The amount of work on offer will depend on your particular skills, abilities, experience and availability. Some of our tutors work on a regular basis and others less frequently.

Sessional Tutors will be trained through our 'Train the Trainer' programme and receive accreditation from the Open College Network to Level 3.

Please submit your CV to info@foundation4peace.org or post to The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace, The Peace Centre, Peace Drive, Warrington, WA5 1HQ.
