Teachers
and support workers can help raise funds to support the Foundation’s
work and meet the cost of the Foundation running a specific
programme for your students either at school or at the Peace
Centre.
Here are just a few ideas of how to raise funds:
- Introduce a 'dress down day' for students
- Encourage a fundraising activity as part of staff training
days
- Staff team-building/away days could incorporate a sponsored
event
- Set up a 'Youth Charity Committee' whose responsibility
it is to raise funds for the voted 'Charity of the Year'
- Organise a sponsored silence (and have a restful day as
well as raising funds!)
- Charge a nominal entry fee for school plays, part of which
would be donated to the Foundation
- Put on a performance or play for the Foundation
- Ask parents to sponsor your sports day
