Taking the lessons learned and experience gained from the
Tim Parry Leadership Development Programme, the Foundation
has expanded its youth exchange programme to enable it to
be delivered in areas of conflict across the globe.
The Foundation believes that a sustainable peace process
requires strong focussed leadership for constituencies to
move towards peaceful conflict resolution.
Our International Programme addresses relationship building
and leadership training by engaging politically active young
people from communities affected by conflict. It brings young
people from both sides of a conflict together with young people
from other conflicts to live, learn and socialise together.
During the programme they examine their own view of conflict
and their experiences and hear others' experiences and then
discuss ways to transform and resolve conflict. Thus providing
participants with skills and knowledge they can use in their
future roles as leaders.
