Communities for Peace
As well as tackling issues of conflict between individuals, the Foundation has examined conflict within and between communities.

The Foundation’s flagship programme – The Tim Parry Leadership Development Programme – has been running since 1996. It is an Anglo-Irish youth exchange programme, working with individuals from Warrington, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. They live, learn and socialise together while exploring their own conflict and world conflict. This programme was accredited by the OCN in 2006.

Following the success of the Leadership Development Programme, the Foundation is regularly asked to deliver programmes that tackle community conflict. Such projects are usually delivered at the request of a third party, a Local Education Authority, City Council or Government Office.

These programmes are run both nationally and internationally:

  • The Tim Parry Leadership Development Programme
  • Tailored Programmes
  • International Programmes
